Methyl acetate harm to human body: it has anesthetic and stimulating effects. People exposed to higher concentrations of this product can cause eye, nose, throat and respiratory tract irritation symptoms. Repeated or prolonged contact with progressive anesthesia. After stopping contact, recovery is slower, sometimes causing corneal opacity. It can cause dermatitis and eczema on the skin. Exposure to vapors of this product may cause eye irritation, watering, progressive dyspnea, headache, dizziness, palpitations, depression, and central nervous system depression.

Methanol produced by its decomposition can cause vision loss, visual field reduction, and optic nerve atrophy. High concentration can cause anesthesia and liver and kidney congestion; continuous large-scale inhalation can cause acute pulmonary edema. Chronic effects may include secondary anemia, leukocytosis, visceral turbidity, and steatosis. Occasionally, people who are allergic to this product may cause gum bleeding due to vascular nerve disorder after a small amount of inhalation.
